My Approach

My approach supports the whole child and their family. As a certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator, I work with students and their parents to create a study schedule and preparatory program that works for them, and also takes into account the student's learning styles. My approach is never the same; it is tailored, thoughtful, and intentional in order to provide each student with the optimum learning environment. 

INITIAL Consultations

Initial consultations are free of charge. It is important to me that we establish goals for you and your child, together. We liken our services to a partnership, so spending some time at the start is paramount to a successful relationship in the future. 

Policies

Billing

Families are billed monthly. An invoice will be sent prior to the last tutoring or coaching session of each month. Please send payment to through VENMO: @steph-Hogan-1

Cancellation Policy

If there is a need to cancel a session, please notify us as far in advance as possible. A minimum of 24 hours advanced notice is required to avoid being billed for all or part of the session.  With that said, we understand that there are extenuating circumstances in everyone's lives. 

Terminating Services

When your goals have been achieved, and you feel you are no longer in need of our services, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make sure there is closure around our time together. You are important to us, and we want to share our gratitude with you prior to your departure from Wings from Roots.

Private coaching to enhance working memory and recall, cognitive flexibility, and inhibitory control. We will consistently and intentionally address time, focus, organization, initiating tasks, emotional regulation, and self regulation during each session. 

SAT & SSAT
TEST PREP COACH
$100-$120/ SESSION

Private standardized test coaching complete with proven strategies for the verbal section of the tests and tailored instruction to meet the student’s individual needs while facilitating open communication between students and parents.  

COLLEGE & SECONDARY SCHOOL
Application COACH
$120/ SESSION

Private application coaching is done through a process that honors the student’s strengths, is encouraging and non-judgmental, holds the student accountable for meeting deadlines, and provides tools and techniques to help increase writing skills while facilitatating open communication between students and parents.   

POSITIVE DISCIPLINE
Classroom and PARENTING COACH
$100-$120/ SESSION

I am available to come to the classroom and work one on one with teachers and students to help establish a positive classroom environment where learning is fostered through social/emotional education, mindfulness, and a growth mindset program. 

I am available to come to your home to help establish positive discipline guidelines to assist with empowering parents and children to be their best selves, communicate openly and honestly with one another, and to love from a place of connection and courage.
